St. CATHARINES, ONT - Pat Cody of FRC placed second in the men's single (M 1X A) division as the the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta wrapped up on Sunday. Pat's time of 3:38.86 was just over seven seconds back of the winner from the Vancouver Rowing Club.

Lawrence qualifies at Henley Regatta
Janice Lawrence of the Fredericton Rowing Club finished third in her heat to qualify for the semifinals of the senior lightweight women's singles portion of the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta ongoing at St. Catharines, Ont. Lawrence, who finished with a time of 8:45.95, will race in semifinal action today at 2:40. FRC members failing to qualify yesterday were Mike Craig in the senior B men's singles and Michelle Roy and Simone Charron in the junior women's doubles. Craig finished third in his heat with only the top two moving on. Roy and Charron finished fifth in their particular heat, failing to crack the top three which would have qualified them.

Fredericton rowers fail to qualify at Henley Regatta
Three rowers from the Fredericton Rowing Club failed to qualify out of their respective heats in Day 1 action at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catharines, Ont. Tuesday. Among the events on opening day were heats for the senior women's singles including Fredericton's Janice Lawrence who finished fourth in her heat with a time of 8:33.01. Only the top three in each advance. In junior men's singles, Fredericton's Ben Charron was fourth in his heat with a time of 8:24.40. In senior men's singles, Mike Craig of Fredericton finished seventh in his heat with a time of 8:44.53. Competition continues today.
