DARTMOUTH – Alex Maher and Janice Lawrence cruised to victory in the senior women's pair event at the Ice Breaker Regatta on Lake Banook on Saturday. The pair finished with a time of 4:17.7, over 10 seconds ahead of their nearest rival.
The junior quad of Caravan, Roy, Forestell & Charron won their event while a combined FRC and North Star crew out of Halifax finished 3rd in the junior women's quad.
These crews were the few to hit the water on a weekend where most of the schedule was wiped out due to heavy rain and wind that wreaked havoc throughout the Maritmes.
